Athlete's feet are caused by dermatophytes (fungi) that cause ringworm and jock itch. They are contagious.

Athlete's feet are treated by topical medications in mild cases or oral medications in severe cases.

Athlete's feet can be prevented by washing feet daily and let feet air dry and change socks regularly.
